Kamera Obscura

Kamera Obscura was developed as a study of voyeurism, infidelity and detective fiction. The editing of this short film creates a suture between the narratives of Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window and Jean-Luc Godard's Le Mépris. This work tangles the character arc of the house-bound photographer L.B. Jeffries and the neglected beauty Camille Javal. This new narrative is intentionally ambiguous blurring the line between the these two milestone of cinema.

This work was produced in response to the video art of Douglas Gordon and specific moments within the architectural research of Diller Scofidio + Renfro. The piece was included in the CONT3XT.NET curated online exhibit TAGallery 014: Allusions or: Histo/Reconstruction.
