serial consign

This drawing was completed at the very beginning of my M.Arch studies and it remains one of my favourites. The project was completed under the guidance of Hilary Sample and the goal of the assignment was to represent time on a two dimensional surface. We were challenged to notate crowd movement and my solution utilized reading the flow of people from a birds-eye view and translating the trajectory of individuals into vectors. More frequently used routes of traffic emerged over time and I demarcated these with arrows formed from the geometry of their underlying vectors.
