I've been meaning to basic_sounds for quite a while. The site is a treasure trove of new and notable releases, commentary on the North American festival scene and the occasional art and design links. I've been watching this site like a hawk for about a year now and have been able to collect a wide variety of music through it as well as discover several new artists. Discriminating listeners take note as basic_sounds is definitely worth bookmarking.
