[George Yu / Blow-Up / 2004]

I got some sad news via Archinect yesterday that George Yu recently passed away. George was a noted educator and channeled his energy into an amazing multidisciplinary design practice based in Los Angeles. I became familiar with Yu through his widely published Sensorium project several years back. It was only this past winter, at the urging of Michael Speaks, that I really dug into his work. Yu was known for his research into dynamic contemporary work and retail space as well as his sleek exhibit design.
